Fire Breathing • Pranayama Kapalabhati

Breath of Fire is a yogic cleansing technique.

• Pranayama means ‘Breath’ and Kapalabhati means ‘skull cleansing’. This means that the practice of Breath of Fire helps to calm the mind. When we breathe consciously and manage to calm the mind, there is greater emotional and bodily control.

• Time: With the practice of 3 to 5 minutes a day with this breath, you will notice great changes in relaxation of stress, release of anxiety and increase in vital energy. When you manage to spend 3 minutes with your breath, you can increase the practice to 15 minutes a day.

• When: We recommend doing this exercise when you need to focus on a task or need to renew your energy in times of stress.

 BREATH OF FIRE:

• It is based on a breath through the nose (inhalation and exhalation). At the same time, the abdomen is filled and emptied. 1) Sitting posture and straight spine. 2) Continuous, short and rapid breaths through the nose. As I inhale, the abdomen fills up. As I exhale, the abdomen empties. 3) The usual thing is to do two or three breaths per second. And with practice, the breathing will become faster. 4) After 3 or 5 minutes, return to natural breathing and feel how the body warms up and the vital energy flows again.

Intention

Intention is a fundamental aspect of showing up in life. With my own will I can direct my intentions to an end. It is very important to focus on a clear intention to come to ceremony.

Recommendations and guideline for my Intention

– Invite light into your home and light a candle.

Prepare the space nicely with incense and relaxing music from Tibetan singing bowls. Be in inner silence and meditate. Connect with your breath and touch your heart with your hands. Trust.

– Ask yourself, what is it that your heart longs for, what do I need in my life for greater balance and healing?

– Feel in the center of your heart, that deep desire, your intention and put it into words. Visualize it in colors or shapes if it helps.

– Express your intention clearly, in the first person and in the present tense. Focus on the positive. And avoid negative tendencies or difficult aspects, because by formulating your intention in positive, you help anchor that high vibrational energy in you. Use words of gratitude and visualize yourself in a happy and pleasant moment.

– Practice Intention to WATER

Every morning when you wake up, take a glass of water with your hands and set your intention in a loving way. Drink that water containing that elevated programming to transform you into that intention. Give thanks to your inner waters.

Example:

I Am Peace, I Am Love, I Am Light.

My intention is healing in my body, peace in my mind and forgiveness in my bonds. I find within myself balance and happiness for greater freedom in my life.

I trust and open myself to the experience.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

 Diwali – Light Meditation

These days in India Diwali ‘the festival of Light’ is celebrated. It is the time of the year that coincides with the last harvest of fruits, before winter.  Diwali is a very ancient Vedic tradition that honors the victory of good over evil, the light shines in the darkness and illuminates with consciousness that which is unconscious.

It is a celebration that invokes the energy of Shakti, Goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi re-presents wealth, abundance and prosperity. Chanting to this Goddess, lighting a candle to invite the Light in our home, helps us to invite prosperity to accompany us in this vital moment.

 LIGHT MEDITATION

– In these days, give yourself a space of calm, peace and meditation. Prepare your space with relaxing music or Mantras of Goddess Lakshmi.

– Light a candle with your intention, inviting light into your home.

– Close your eyes and sit in a comfortable posture, take 3 deep breaths.

– Focus your attention on your heart and listen to its beat, your music and inner rhythm.

– Visualize a flame in the center of the heart, which illuminates, with its light and warmth purifies you.

– Keep breathing and imagine how this light from the flame spreads throughout your body and cleanses the emotions.

– When you feel, open your eyes and meditate a few more minutes, observing the flame of the candle in front of you and be grateful. Feel the abundance and purification of this practice.
